cavalier z24

Ok i have a guy who wants to race me in a cavalier but he wont tell me if he has the 2003 z24 or not, how do i tell if it is a LS model or a Z24, he is willing to pop the hood.

look for the z24 logo on the side:screwy: if he shaved the badges the engine will still say what it is 2.4L is z24, 2.2L isnt

2003+ has the 2.2 ecotec engine in them.

so both the z24 and non-z24 have the same engine?

Anything 03-05 has the ecotec motor, LS and LS sport and just upgrades for the car. Power windows, locks, sunroofs, XM, and shit like that. Which is why buying a base model cav then would still be as quick.

there is no z24 in the 03+ models....

come to think of it i have never seen a z24 in the 03-05 models, that would explain why.

The canucks have some labeled Z24.... but once again, dealership selling scam.
