Mr2 Vs Sti

So I had my first race of the spring yesterday!!!

A new body style sti pulled up and reved and I just think.... great. I'm going to get killed. He has a loud blow off valve and lets me here it. My quiet little mr2 wouldn't even be heard so I didn't even want to try to impress him. So I just sat there waiting on the light. He had exhust and the blow off valve for sure, but what else I dont know.... My car has intake and down pipe, jdm 93 engine. Take off I got a good bite and lead, then my bumper stayed about my front bumper to his door behind him all the way, about the 1/4 mile I was about at his back bumper. I was so supprized that I stayed so close and so was he. Next light he asked what I had done, and let him know but then the light changed to green, I never got to find out what he had done.... I figured that if I just would have uped the boost to 15psi I could have won....
