bought 1997 lincoln continential and has installed factory jbl radio and cd changer but the cd changer is missing owner took it out so the radio wont work at all ,was told it needs the cd changer to work .so the question is why is the sub -woofer fuse blowing again and again could it be because its missing the cd changer

In the trunk, on the package shelf is the RCU and AMPS. Look around there for any missing plugs or cut connections. There are several connector ports on the RCU, and more on the AMPS.

The HU (radio) should work if all the connections are good. The CD changer will read an error code on the HU when it's missing, but the radio should still work.

The fuse blowing is either a bad AMP or some wire problems.

PS. There's some good stuff by RAGS in the Town Car forum on this subject.
