Towncar, I received the CDs days ago but my computer is about to go belly up - CRASH!!! I'm having trouble getting on the 'net therefore the late thanks. Also, a great big thanks for all the help you've given all of us. You take a lot of time, effort and $$ for many people you don't even know (although we are a Towncar family). I know everyone thanks you but a GREAT BIG THANK YOU from ALL of us.

Because of a bad computer and corrupted files I can't get the "to '99 Ford Systems" to down load. The "'95 Ford Cars" has been a great help.

Headlamp adjustment - WOW Different than any I'd seen before. The adjustment screws are under the hood and go into a little socket in the back of the headlamp ass'y. The "socket" which seems to be rubber is all deteriorated letting the nob of the screw to come out, thereby letting the headlamp "flop" and making it impossible to adjust them. :frown:

Question - Do you know if it is possible to get the rubber socket liners that the adjusting screws go into or does one have to get a whole new assembly in order to adjust his headlamps? If a new assembly is required do you know approx. how long it takes to change them? Do you know the approx. cost of them?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Stan

Your Welcome ;)

Re: adjusters; I've not had the pleasure of dealing with a deteriorated socket. That sure sounds like planned obsolescence though :) You might be the first to show us all how to m.i.c.k.e.y. m.o.u.s.e those into working, and still be adjustable. There's a few guys that deal with Ford parts and give discounts to forum members, LOL has a resident. I normally use www.rockauto.com to reference parts prices; then I buy from the residents.

Personally, I don't know how long the swap would take, like you mentioned.. these are a bit unique. LOL has a tech article on lens polishing, but that's the easy part.

Our resident JunkYardDoggie aka Mike can get lots of different parts, it would be worthwhile to give him a shout via PM here. He may be able to give more details on that adjuster socket.

Thanks again for the kind words. BTW, I have plenty of questions too... just not Lincoln related :)

Why sentence structure is so important! :iceslolan

The boss had to fire somebody, and he narrowed it down to one of two people, Debra or Jack.
It was an impossible decision because they were both super workers.
Rather than flip a coin, he decided he would fire the first one who used the water cooler the next morning.

Debra came in the next morning with a horrible hangover after partying all night.
She went to the cooler to take an aspirin. The boss approached her and said:

"Debra, I've never done this before but I have to lay you or Jack off."
