radio 2003 escape

The radio in my escape is displaying "phone" when the car is off and this drains the battery. anybody have a clue about this
Oh by the way the speakers are on too

I didn't see anything in the owners manual. It might help someone else to answer you if you gave which radio it is. Single CD, cassette/single CD, premium 6 CD, audiophile 6 CD or mach 3 MP3 are the 5 radio options listed for this vehicle.
