96 eclipse rs backfire when gave gas

i just bought a 96 eclipse rs 2.0 non turbo auto trans. it needed a ecm and a crank sensor. cranked up and ran great at idle but when u give it the gas it fired out exh at 2500 rpm. i cut the cat. off and straight piped. but still fired out exh at high rpm. put on snap on computer and no codes. replaced ngk plugs with new ngks.still getting fire out exh. this car is pissing me off to much electronics. someone help!!!anyone!!!!!

Dude, I asked you if you had a CEL (Check Engine Light) in your previous thread. Please, do NOT make duplicate threads on the same problem.

didnt under stand what u asked...sorry!!!. the check engine light is not on.

Have you checked the TPS yet?

no i havent. how do i check this?. it idles great.im not much on mpi. i deal with carbs more.

When you cut off the cat you didn't mess with any of the o2 sensors did you?

no still connected
