Well the car is well underway now.
Most parts are getting painted and the body has been primmed and painted in 3 coats of Tamiya Chrome Yellow.(Just painted about 3 hours ago)
The body kit didnt fit to well and needed to have alot of sanding here and there to fit corectly. The front bumper has had the "opening" cut open to remove the ugly molded mesh that was all molded as one into the bumper. Will get replaced.
Front/rear wheel arch's opened up just a little so the bumpers sat nice and flush.
So far so good :)

Looks great!
I`ve noticed that you`ve been able to get pretty decent shine without rubbing out the finish with Tamiya Laquers. What technique are you using? I always get slight orange peel, not bad but noticeable. Do you heat the can at all before spraying? It is humid here often so maybe that has a little to do with it as well.

Looking good, as usual.
If I was you, I would cut out the top grill as well.
Then make an Intercooler to stick under there (I would like to see a scratch built thing from you).
Are you going to put the number plate on, or leave those holes in the front airdam?

Update.
Slowly coming along...have almost finished the painting of most parts.
The detail will be next on the body....along with decals and windows etc.
Here's a couple of the inside(almost finished)

Sweet looking.
How come you to the door paneling etc. at this, well early stage. I always wait with that till last. When all decals are sealed in with varnish. I know you use these marker pens, but doesn't the ink 'fight' with the clear?
Good joke Jay!:D

Well, obviously not...;)
I think that they are paint markers, so it would just be like painting black paint on the clear coat. And unless it is enamel clear under Laquer paint markers (I do think they are enamel though) there should be no reactions.

I just like to do the whole lot to see what they are like etc. They are a paint pen so no worries.
Very funny Jay :finger: :finger:

holy crap PMan. that thing is friggin gorgeous. i am in such envy of your skills. lol. are you using the wheels that came with the kit? just wanted to let you know that on the real competition version of that car, it has the same wheels, but they're black instead of silver. i don't know why Fujimi didn't at least make the kit wheels black.

Still not 100% on the wheels yet. Once everything is done i'll make my mind up if it needs to be lowered and have different wheels
