Hi everybody!
As you can tell I'm new here, but I've been visiting these forums quite often and just now registered. I'm planning to super detail Tamiya's FXX kit and would like to know if TS51 (Racing Blue) is a good match for this FXX.
Thanks
Alex

Step1 :Check No24...Color Code: Tour De France (Met Blue) (http://www.fxxregistry.com/reg.htm)
Only 3 possible blues in the Fxx line:
The No.24:Tour De France Blue
The Swedish Fxx: Celeste Blue (only possible, not confirmed) edit: I just checked the web..celeste blue is somewhat a darkish sky-blue, so IMHO.. not likely
One of the 'unknowns'
And the pic you posted looks a lot like the 24 TDF blue so:
Step 2 (http://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=46&products_id=1132) Good solid stuff, goes on like a charm.
Followed by Step 3 (http://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=46&products_id=797) Best clear I've used so far. (1 Set will do 2-6 1/24 cars)
HTH,

Your best bet as mentioned above is to get the real paint from Hiroboy, as Tamiya's blues are either too light (Mica Blue) or too dark (Racing blue).

celeste is a light blue, something like a light cyan
I painted my 360cs with racing blue over mica over silver: to me is a decent match to the TdF blue, anyway I agree: Steve will mix the exact color.

I think Tamiya's Telefonica Blue should do it.
