Picking up Girls: C-Blocks

I'm new with picking up girls at bars, especially since I had some girlfriends before I could drink. I'm getting more confidence but it's hard to find these women sometimes, because some other guy is all over them. I'm out with my friends, and this new guy, who I still befriended later. I had some bad luck with a couple girls so we start to leave the bar, and while my friend Dean is in front of me, I stop him as we pass these two hot chicks, I started complimenting the hats they were both wearing and maybe a minute later, this new guy to our team, a frat guy, introduces himself, to BOTH girls that we're talking to and I don't literally get 'pushed' to the side, but before I know it, I'm out of the conversation. Dean yelled at him later and he apologized, but immediately after that happened, i'm still standing next to them, then I start looking around for more girls, and to no avail, they're all taken up.

What do YOU do when you're C-Blocked? Be honest, I don't think many of you beat the guy up and that won't really help me either.

:biggrin: Take it seriously if you want to. Some of those seem interesting to me, most of them look ridiculous to me but that is just my opinion. I've already taken college courses on how to communicate and how to make relationships successful and all that stuff so i'm not inclined to read a book that will help me pick up chicks.

if someone starts to take over the conversation like that, tell them you're going to get a drink or to the bathroom. let him make a jack ass of himself then you can go back to the girls.

also it's a lot easier to have a conversation 1 on 1 so try to get one alone when ever possible.

and about those books, my friend uses them and i have yet to see him get laid
