96 eclipse rs 2.0 auto non turbo

i bought a eclipse 96 rs auto 2.0 dohc non turbo. needed a crank sensor and a ecm. cranked up and ran but when gave gas fire out exh. cut back when backfires cant go over 30. replaced ngk plugs w/ new. cut cat off. cleaned tbi. runs great @idle but give it gas and it spit and sputters about 2500 rpm.:banghead:
