Couple of 325 questions

Everything I've read says the Sport Package for an '03 325ci('02 also) includes alloy wheels, tires, sport seats and some lenses. I'll pass on ordering the package if thats all it is. I won't need them because I'll be installing some different factory wheels upon delivery(8x18 "Double Spoke Composite 71"). The salesman I'm dealing with says I'll want the package because it includes a "sport" suspension. Does anyone know if this is true?

And this brings me to my next question, I'd like to lower the car about 1/2-3/4"(no racing, just looks and little better handling). If the Sport package does include the "sport" suspension, will it be required if I'm going with aftermarket lowering parts? Any advice on which aftermarket to go with(Dinan or Breyton) would be great too.

If your gonna upgrade the wheels. Then you will want to upgrade the suspension. The sport suspension doesn't provide enough drop if you are upgrading to larger wheels IMO.

I was told by another guy that the sport suspension comes standard on the cars. So I'll be getting it regardless(which is fine with me). I definitely plan to get some lowering springs and whatever else I'll need to make it look right with the larger wheels.

The Sport suspension was an option thru early 2001, and may still be, but I seem to recall reading that it became standard mid 2001 - can anyone confirm.
As to lowering the car, BMW has some pretty highly paid engineers on the payroll, do ya really want to second guess them with aftermarket springs? If anything, get a complete package from a single manufacturer, don't mix and match.

I would only go with Dinan, at least BMW stands behind them.

I haven't seen it listed as an option anywhere so I'll assume it's standard now. I've seen a lot of BMWs that have been lowered and I figured it's a pretty popular thing(I like the look). I didn't know if there were factory lowering parts so I was asking if Dinan or Breyton would be the best choice for aftermarket. I definitely wouldn't mix and match, I'll be looking at all the parts from one manufacturer.
