No Battery Power

1999 Cougar after I shut off tried to restart 20 minutes later. Nothing no lights nothing. Kind of heard a popping sound when I first hit the key. Is there a relay or fuse that can shut down all the power.

check to see if there is water in you battery. if there isn't fill only with distilled water. while your under the hood check to see if everything is propery grounded. hope that helps
