I have been searching for a good place to get these gauges for while. i think i found it. The best I had seen is like $64.99. I found this site that had them for $44.95... just over $50 after tax.

http://www.procarparts.com/store/displaydetails.cfm?pid=NIS-SENT-2002-IG6

I placed the order over the weekend. I will post again, when I receive them, and once more when I install them to let people know if they ship properly and work right. If it works out, I will strongly recommend this website, cause the price is awesome!

*** they also have a CAI for under $100.00

I checked out the website and they do look nice and the price is great. THe funny thing is that those are the same exact guages that they put into the spec in that nissan performance magazine. THe only difference is that nissan want you to go to another place to get them and spend about 65 dollars more.

I said I would keep everybody up to date on my buying experience... Here's the latest....

I ordered the gauges about a week ago. I got a message from UPS about three days after saying that I had a tracking number, and that the package was set to arrive on Oct. 22. (my birthday by the way.. nice present to myself I thought!)

So far so good right....

I got this message yesterday....

So what do you think?

I have not checked my credit card statement yet to see if the money has been credited back to me. My guess is that they just realized they screwed up with their pricing, and wanted to find a way out of it. Of course, with internet deals, I don't usually give them the benefit of the doubt. I usually assume the worst. Maybe what they said is true, and they really went the extra mile to do the right thing.

Anyhow.. the guage project is on hold. I will repost when I find out more. I am interested in seeing if they keep the price the same when they get more in stock.

Cheers!

i would believe them. i've had very good service with procarparts.com. when i had my civic hatch i ordered some black housing headlights...they emailed me and said that they were out of them and told me that i could wait for them or they would give me the ionized blackhousing for no extra cost. the ion ones were like 30 bux more. i was really impressed with that. just my .02.

Its all a conspiracy!!!! I think they just want more money. Those are the same exact ones that are in the nissan performance magazine. The only difference was a company sticker and they wanted about 65 dollars more. Im going with a cost mistake on their part. Thats just me though.

i don't think the indiglow gauges will doesn't fit the look in a blackout se-r... i'm wondering if they can customize to have a white face and reverse red instead of indiglow.. that would look pretty tight

They finally got the gauges back in stock.

I ordered them again... for the same price as before. So that is cool.

Shipping was quick.. about a week.

I got them in a little cardboard box.. no install guide or paperwork of any kind.

I went to Nissanperformancemag.com for install instructions. They were great.

I put them in... and they didn't work. They got stuck on me. Upon further inspection, the Speedo and Tach have a counterwieght which sticks out from the center of the gauge in the opposite direction of the needle. That counterweight is much closer to the base of the gauge cluster. When you tape your gauges on over the original piece, they sit a little higher, and the counterweight rubs.

SO.... I found out from others that if you sand out the base of the counterweight, you can create more clearance, and make if possible for the gauges to work properly.

So... i went to Home Depot and bought a Black and Decker RTX rotary tool (on sale for $24.99), put on the cutting blade and went to town.

I put the gauges back in, and they work great!

So... With a little work, you can make these gauges work for you.

I am happy with them. Too bad I am putting my car in the garage for the winter on Dec. 1.

Take Care.

I drove an hour through traffic to get it but i got it for 63.50 w/ tax included. If anyone wants them, i'll go out and buy it, but i dont think that the trip is worth it unless i go to pick up four or more.

hey SilverSpec

Yeah.. they are definitely worth it. No question... with the AC reverse indiglos going for over $100. These are well worth the money.

The install took a few hours. But, that is because I had to spend so much time figuring out that the counterweights were sticking. If I was do start fresh on it now (knowing what I already know) I could install them in about an hour.

I will get pics of the gauges up in a couple days. Then I have to kiss my Spec goodnight for it's winter hibernation.
