Built For Boost But Not Boosted.

If you build an engine for boost, like cam, flat pistons, etc... for boost, but dont acctually boost it, what kind of problems will you run into?
i want to build a new engine but i want to build it for turbo but i will need the engine before i can get my hands on the turbo.

Won't have issues...just won't make the power you might expect out of it if it was a typical N/A build.
Compression will be low thanks to pistons being dished. Might have a minor oil consumption issue until you get the cylinder pressure up as well.
My shortblock was built with boost in mind. -12cc pistons. But I went with a small enough chamber on my heads to make it 11:1 compression. If/when I finally supercharge it, it will get a new cam and new heads to lower compression to about 9:1.
