DTC P0440 update

My 01 Cavy had this code for more than a month and finally found the problem through the help of mechanic friend. After replacing the gas cap and run for about 100 miles, MIL came back on. Diagnosis was again the P0440. Mechanic found a loose connection on the wiring harness under the intake manifold. That harness was connected to the valve solenoid. Fixed the loose connection and after 220 miles, MIL has not come on. Will bring the car for a smog check next week. Hope this helps some of you guys w/ this problem. This is a bad lesson for me so I'll never buy a domestic vehicle again. They're full of problems - especially electrical. I'll stick to the imports which have proven to be more reliable in the long run and have better resale value.:nono:
