GPS experience?

Since the prices on some gps devices are falling I was concidering buying one. I know TomTom has recently dropped $100 on all their models. I've been looking at the TomTom One and the Go 510. Has anyone had experience with any of these? My buddy has the One and loves it. Any help would be appreciated! I'm pretty set on getting a TomTom because they just updated their maps and I hear their more accurate than ever.

I have friends who have used Tom Tom's, Navman's and Tom Tom Mobile on a high end Nokia, and all have worked pretty well. From someone who owned both, he recommended a Navman - quality is little bit better I'm told.

I'm a truck driver so I rely on mine all day, currently I have a Magellan Roadmate 2000, its the best one i've used. TomTom is cool and all however in the US their map set doesn't seem to be as accurate. The Magellan is also durable as hell because i've dropped that thing from 5 feet a few times, smashed stuff into it and it hasn't given me a problem yet.

Thanks guys for the help. Oz, I dont have a phone capable of putting gps software on, so thats out. I was really looking for one of the devices in the car. Cloak, I was actually looking at TomTom because I heard they were more accurate. I've been researching and found out that they just recently updated their maps in the US and their more accurate than ever. Does anyone have one of the TomTom's with updated maps?

Research the differences between NAVTEQ and TeleAtlas mapping software. I've had experience with updated TeleAtlas systems and they still do not compare to NAVTEQ.
