Hello... so the other night i was driving my friend and he rolled down my window. When he went to roll it up it wouldnt roll up and was completely stuck... i pulled over at a gas station and we tried getting it up but it wouldnt move.. the window was not completely down so he could grab the window so i held the button as he pulled up, it would go a little bit and then i would have to completely remove the keys to get it up a little bit at a time till we finally got it up... i havent tried rolling the window down since and im wondering if the motor could be going bad or if it already has, or if anyone else has had this problem what have you done?? thanks

motor is dead...needs to be replaced. Check Ebay for a motor, otherwise a dealer or online OEM distributor is your best bet. Not too hard to change, but a little greasy.

The motors went out on both sides of my minivan and it cost me about $175 to replace each one. Just an FYI on the price for you. I am not sure about how much it will cost on our cars but I am guessing probably pretty close to that.

Driver side is more $$ if you have the auto down feature. My passenger went out and I was able to find a used one on ebay for about 50 bucks and it works just fine. I am sure a junk yard would be another good place to check and probably only cost you about 20 bucks a side, maybe a little more.

Thanks for the help guys, I tried rolling the window down again a few days after and it went up just fine and i havent had a problem with it since... So for now im not going to worry about it but if it eventually does stop working again i think i'll go through a junkyard i got a quote of 65$ or so, so it shouldnt be too bad... Thanks again

I know this is a stupid question but its the first thing that popped in my mind...Are you sure you didnt hit the window lock button on accident? It just sound's kinda odd that your window stopped working one night and then worked fine the next with out making any repairs..unless it has a short maybe.?.

No, it will crap out soon enough. For some reason, the opener will work for like 5 seconds or something and then crap out just like that with no warning. Thats how mine was, and then one day it was just done for good.

lol yea i did check the window lock button dont worry... im not that stupid... but my passenger window has also always been slower since the day ive had it and ever since that inccident that it wouldnt roll up its been normal just as the drivers side.. so i guess i'll just wait for it to wait for it to "crap out" like you say it will and then just replace it... thanks
