03 escape dies out

i have a 03 escape and it has been stalling out when shifting from P to R and sometimes from R to D. it doesn't even try to keep running. when it happens it is like i just turn the key off. today it even died while going over a speed bump. it is getting much worse. it now does it almost Everyday. it also has an after market remote start on it witch makes it a little more difficult to diagnose. please help i don't even know where to start.

Take it back to the remote start place
Bypass the remote start
Or start looking at the installation for wiring integrity
PS...when I was working at dealers...start by taking it apart. Retraced the other peeps steps....especially the aftermarket jocks...

Use solder joints with heat shrink instead of crimp on connectors. Tape it up and tie wrap it in place.

I.A.C. ( idle air control valve), have it checked...
