Well its been far too long since i made any purchases for my baby...

So these are boxes um.. 2 of 3 i have ordered already out of 5 i need. :grinyes:

http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/1106/20070412image0001bd1.jpg

The remaining 2 that i still need are costing me more than i really want to pay at the moment still needing a paint job. So those are going to have to wait. This mod prolly won't be done till after the car gets painted.

Game on! :p

I'd be driving around a new M6 BMW if that were such. Cause i reckon 2 boxes of pure uncut coke, would make me quite heavy in the pockets wit green. Oh how i would love to slap down 90 1,000 bills at a dealership and say i want it today.

Our cars have a 75/25 or 70/30 braking system sorta forgot at the moment. Yes your calipers are stock. Our rotor size up front is actually 10.2", while the neon is rear is 10.6" for this version i am going with. They have to accommodate the parking shoes under neath the rotors. But the caliper is about 25% (est.) smaller than our stock front ones. Also the disc brakes for a neon rear are solid and not vented like the fronts on all cars. The guy who found this swap out and who makes the brackets made a video how-to aswell. So this is going to be a piece of cake. :P

ohhh, ok i didnt realize you were putting those on the back, i thought you were replacing the front ones with those. but dont all cars have solid stock rotors in the front?

JBO Group Purchase Information (http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=50&i=29501&t=29501)

Install video on Google (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7482565663772944210&q=cavalier&hl=en)

Now the video shows using a wilwood residual pressure valve which they have found out its not needed. everything else is correct tho.

Nice pick up CRJ. I'm hoping to find a wrecked GTS one day and take all the parts from the rear disc brakes from the knuckle up to put on my GT.

Their only usefulness is their rear caliper brackets and calipers. Otherwise, yea your still in a neon.

..and as much as i hate e-bay i did some research and got one helluva deal on these little puppies made by Stillen.

Ebay isn't all evil...you can find some quality parts there. Need some powerslot front rotors to go with those stillens? LOL I have to get rid of the damn things!

I've got BAER Deceala rotors up front right now. However, i am looking for new calipers for up front. Mine have seen almost 9 years of life and i think are starting to hang up. I don't feel like killing these new rotors either.

Wheres the rear hub assemblies?

On my car still... Lol. I am just waiting for the machined neon caliper brackets so our hubs will fit them, pads and parking brakes. Then i will have everything i need for the rear disc swap.

Would have been easier (from all I know of the process) to just get the neon rear hubs and replace yours with them.

Classicrocjunkie
05-02-2007, 11:46 AM
They don't have ABS in the neon's hubs like our rear hub assemblies do. So i would loose my ABS and personally its a nice piece of mind to have if i need. I paid $227 shipped for everything to use my stock hardware. Cheap enough for me without spending almost 1,000 for a BAER conversion.
