Need Help Locating The Oil Pressure Sending Unit. Anyone Know Where It Is Located?? When I Start The Truck The Needle Pegs High..............then After About 20 Minutes Of Driving It Goes Back To A Normal Pressure Reading. Any Suggestions On This Problem Would Be Helpful. I Was Just Going To Replace The Sending Unit.

Thanks

I think the sending unit is on the driver's side of the engine block accessible from under the vehicle.

I don't know if '95 Ranger is like some earlier ones-sender is just an off/on switch.

Most senders now a days are nothing but off-on switches. They used to use "idiot lights" but no difference. They don't really tell you how much oil pressure you have. As Johnny pointed out, they are mainly located on the driver side, lower part of the engine block. I installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge in my '99 Ranger 4.0L.
