My abs light has been on since i got my car .. i start the car and let it idle, about 30 seconds later the light comes on and the stupid chime goes DING DING DING! lol, it happens whether i take off or not, even if i dont press the breaks, just start it and let it idle.

Well man the only way to know for sure is taking the car for brakes repair shop and get the codes read from the PCM (car's "computer"), and analyze the information. Many of the times is a bad wheel sensor, a sensor plug out of place, or the ABS module. Good luck.
