How has no one mentioned this yet? And does anyone have info on it? TK or full kit? Looks like it was reworked from a diecast, by the marks on the doors.

If that's suppose to be the new RSR it's way off.

Um, yeah. What he said.
At first glance it looks good, but compare it to photos and it falls apart fast; the lower fascia is way off (the vent is far too tall, the lower lip is far too thick, etc. etc.), rear quarters are too narrow (before addition of flares).

Hi,
according to infos from www.automobilminiaturen.de the pics are fom the early stage of building the master, when detailed 1:1 fotos where hard to find.
The kit can be expected in form of a slot-body and as a transkit for the Tamiya GT3.

Hi Guys
Last week I visited Scale Production like i always do every year and i saw their new GT3 RSR Master Model.
The only thing I can say, fantastic work on the Body, I am really happy that Scale Production
offers with this nice car.
Looking at the Master Model, I just can recommend this for all Modelcar builders, cause the quality of Scale Production is one of the best Price-Quality offer you can get….;-)))

I do not know, which decals Scale Production offer for this transkit, but I hope it will be the Flying Lizard from Le Mans this year.
Regards Roger

The cut-out "GT" on the rear-wing pillars are a great idea !!

Are those wheels from the Cayman transkit available separately?
kingkai
08-07-2007, 03:05 PM
Yes they are sold seperatly. Look at the sites for BBS wheels. Look out, there are two versions. BBS GT3 Porsche old style and normal BBS wheels (like the Tamiya CLK-GTR/911GT1/R390 BBS wheels)
I'm wasn't a porsche lover, but beginning to be one. Love the old 911 GT1's and converting a Carrera GT into a GT1 racer. But this kit will come into my collection as well (hoping it will be a LM version)

I might have to pick up a couple Cayman kits, couple of the PE sets, and then one transkit. Build a car for the street and one for the track!

it's available for slotracing, but what exactly do they mean with that? I know it's not like a transkit for the tamiya GT3, but what excatly is it then? A full kit i a different scale, or is it really to put an engine in it and race it around a track?

Hi,
the slot 997 will be a body and some interior parts to be mounted on a slot chassis, that will look good and will have as less as possible weight, so the body unsually isn´t resin but GFK, which is more durable than resin in the case of a crash.
I´ll wait for the display-model, which will hopefully produced after the slot kit and will be rather perfect in its dimensions. I saw the master at the Frankfurt Model Show some weeks ago, and it will come with open drivers door ;-))
