Hello john patterson, and Welcome to AF.

More info = better results.

What year? Engine? Mileage? Any symptoms just before the non start? Any problems starting before? Is the starter turning over the engine?

If you think it is a head gasket leaking...then you might expect water to be going into the combustion chamber.

If you remove the spark plugs and inspect them for water and rust, that might be a start.

If there is a lot of water, then when you crank it over with the plugs out of it, water will squirt out of the spark plug hole.
