Do I buy the Focus or not? I love the three doors, but its an american car (icky). I want to hear it from a Focus driver, not a focus dealer; is it a good move?

I only recommend 2005 and up Focus models. I work on these cars daily. The 2005 and up seem pretty reliable compared to the older models.

That's what I've been reading. Can I get a 2005 for $10,000 out the door? I'll be buying whithin a year, but not real soon. The release of the '08 will help the '05 price go down right?

Car buying makes my tummy hurt

Our dealer has a gold 2005 in stock, but not for $10,000
See it on THIS LINK (http://apps.dealerconnection.com/dealers/1championford/usedvehicles?_flowExecutionKey=_cEBC532EF-1851-7EBC-3C41-463F9C4C9364_k10542256-895E-4DC1-55B1-DEA92F833643&_eventId_vehicledetails=true&vin=1FAFP34NX5W263717)

I have a 2002 Focus which i bought over a year ago for 10k taxes in (cdn) and i love this car, it's got a really solid tight feel, a sporty feeling car with nice sharp steering, and no mechanical problems thus far and i've added another 10000 km to it, a tip though would be to go for a 5 speed i always hear about problems with the automatics

It's really not an American car. It was developed in Germany and became the best selling world car ever.

The only real change to the 05 (mechanically) is the change from the Zetec to the Duratech motor. The Z was pretty proven through the Escorts.

I'd say go for it. I love mine!!! 03 SVT
