I have a 2000 Grand Prix gt and was wondering if i put a cold air intake or a short ram intake on if it would improve my gas mileage as well as give me more power?
Any help would be great
Thanks

Pretty much anyone you get will increase power-not alot though-some say 25 HP increase(if you're lucky though). They can give you better mileage as well, allowing more in more air.
If you do decide on getting some kind of kit make sure you can still hook up the MAF sensor and AIT sensor.

On a naturally aspirated car, you won't notice much performance at all, its better on a supercharged car(actually noticeable) and the sound of the blower is wicked(especially on a gen V blower)

LOL, sound for sure! That is one mean whistle! Caught me off guard when I installed the CAI.
As for gas mileage, I've heard people say that it increased, but others say it decreased. Depends on how hard you drive it and what mods you run in my opinion.

here is what I found out, before I started modding, I was averaging 20-21mpg(in normal driving)... Since the mods, its a lot less BECAUSE of my lead foot... however, while on vacation(and under normal driving conditions) I was averaging 22-23mpg, which is better than I ever got stock... So I definitely haven't lost any gas mileage, which makes me happy, I mean I would be willing to sacrifice a little, but if it means gaining, even better....
