CRX si w/ JDM B16a1 and revhard 1 turbo?

Hi all, my first post here! Forgive me if someone has already asked this question(s).

I'll get a 1989 CRX Si, and I'm gonna swap a JDM B16a1 into it. About how fast do you think it would be?

Also, I plan on eventually hooking that motor up with a Revhard Stage 1 turbo kit. I did the math. And the figures come out like this:

Horsepower: 233 (7psi) @ 7800 rpm (rpm guess should be accurate)
Torque: 331 (7psi) @ 7300 rpm (rpm guess should be accurate)

What kind quarter mile times could I get with this? I think it would be in the 11 sec range right? The CRX is a pretty light car...

thanks for any help!

id expect 12's but only because running 11's in front wheel drive is a bit hard. im guessing torque steer would be a bitch. heres a formula...

ET = ((Weight / HP)^.333) * 5.825
MPH = ((HP / Weight)^.333) * 234

id figure it out, but im not even sure how much a crx weighs. Somewhere close to 2000 im guessing.

I give you props for the car and motor swap, but I highly doubt 11's and even 12's man. Your gonna have to build the motor up first, I have a crx wiht a b18c1 built no turbo, but haven't takin it to the track. I hope all goes well but I must suggest that you fully build yoru motor prior to the turbo.. GOOD LUCK hope all goes well.:D

...I just up how much boost I'm runnin.

If I reinforce the engine, I should be able to run pretty high PSI right? Am I right in assuming that you can't run as much boost in high compression engines (I forget why, but it was explained to me once)? If that is so, could I just get lower compression pistons to run higher boost? Also, what else should I upgrade--would Civic Type R parts (pistons, camshafts) make it stronger?
Should I plan on intercooling it? Would that help?

I'd like to think I know a little about honda engines and their performance but when it comes to forced induction I'm really a newbie.

Any help would be appreciated.

You are going to want to resleeve the block, use low compression pistons and run some high strength connecting rods.

Sleeves: Darton, Golden Eagle
Pistons: JE, Wiseco
Rods: Eagle, Crower

Civc Type-r pistons when used in a PR3 block raise the compression ratio to about 11:1 whci is not good for forced induction. I would stay with the stock cams since the type-r cams have longer duration and would work ok with fi but not as well as stock or gsr cams. I would definitely plan on intercooling your setup. There is no way you are going to run the times you want to without intercooling. I would definitely do a lot more research before diving in head first. If you rush things you are most likely going to pay for it in the long run.

you would probably run a low 13 in the 1/4 mile. if your motor is in good shape you don't need to build it if your not going to run high boost. a place called in line pro makes a head gasket that's bad ass and they run 10's on a stock motor with it. i would get one cause the compression on the stock jdm b16a is really high. i think it's around 11:1. the gasket brings it down to around 9:1. you are going to have to worry about getting enough fuel and engine temps. bad set ups make motor go boom. with the gasket you could run ten pounds no problem.:smoker2:
