Hi all, I'd appreciate your help in this matter. I have read up a little on this problem and it seems like the ignition module is the best bet.

The car recently had the ECU replaced, as my mechanic said a wire behind had shorted it out. A week after, a strange problem happened. I started the car and it shut off by itself. It did it again, so i went inside to get the keys to the other car, and when i came back out the blazer had started up by itself  haha. it is equipped with a remote start so i'm sure that has something to do with it.

Anyway it only did that ghost start b.s once, but the turn on, then turn off thing is still there. I know the ignition modules go bad on these cars, but is that a problem with the 1995 model too? Most of what i've read thats happening with later ones.

thanks in advance

Like start and run 30 seconds and shut off.
Does the security light come on for bulb check and go off?

I imagine the problem is with the remote start. Probably an after market unit, right?

well now i've found that if i steadily give it gas the truck will stay running. The only light on the dash when the car is running is the check engine. When i let off the gas it kind of stumbles down to idle then stalls out. Im thinking injectors dirty or idle speed sensor?

If check engine light is on there is you clue.
Check for codes and find out what the code is and post back code no.
How is the fuel pressure and tune up end.
What engine and mileage?
