explorer oil change

For explorer 2007 manual reccommand oil change every 5000mi.I drive about 50mi/day on high way,should i change engine oil at 3000 or 5000mi.(engine 4.0)

If the conditions you are driving in are not dusty, and you are not towing or going up a bunch of hills, I think a 5kmi oil change interval is reasonable.

what brand oil do you use ? and what filter ?

5W20 Motorcraft oil and any filter.

pennzoil 5w30 oil filter motocraft

with the 2 oils listed and the motorcraft filter one should be able to easily go over 5000 highway miles. the only reason i wouldnt go that distance is if i were in dusty areas often.

i prefer Havoline if i'm using a dino oil. i'd confidently go 6000 miles or more using it

the only thing is about every 2000 miles i'd be sure and check the level, to make sure it doesnt get low.

if you are driving it on the highway i would say 5000 because the longer you drive it the more lubrication the engine gets and and better the oil condention is.
