What is your main form of social interaction

Moppie

that is, between the internet and one on one interpersonal interaction, what is the most common method you use for social interaction?

Is your socail calander ruled by reality, or virtual reality?

Im pretty much all internet. I dont go out alot, im very shy and I dont have alot of friends. And the friends I do have, I end up chatting with them via MSN or AIM more often than on the phone or in person. :D

And yes, I am happy living like this :)

It all depends on the day. Mondays I have no school, so I often only leave the house once or not at all. 95% of my social interaction on Mondays is over the net. However, on Fridays I'm at school for 5 hours, then go out at nights often for another 5 or 6, so 95% of my Friday interaction is in reality. Overall I'd say I'm probly around 40% internet interaction.

Depends on weather really and sometimes time. On weekends, I'm either partying all night, online, or just out. I'm mostly out though except on Saturday nights.

Weekdays, I'm online or doing homework.

The internet is an important of contact that I have with lots of folk but I'd say it's only about 30% of my communication. I spend of lot of time meeting and talking to folk all over the place and on the phone and I feel comfortable with it.

I only have a PC at work, and I work using the internet. So, 40 hours out of 168 hours in the week are spent online. So, roughly 25% of my interactions are online. :D

Did I mention I really, really, hate computers?

I've been handcuffed to my computer for 17 days straight. I can't find the door.

It's fair to say that AF takes up a lot of my social time, but I also have a neat pair of kids and some really good workmates.A lot of time at work is spent just standing around, watching the machines,so we get a lot of time for OT type amusement....:D

Well considering I hate 45% of my "friends"- I tend to spend a bit more time on the internet- but every Saturday night I go over to my mate down the road- we either go out- or rent a few PS2 games :D

I clicked 25% internet but in reality it is about 40 - 50% (I'm a compulsive liar (or am I?))

Well, like some of you, I only post while I'm at work, but when I'm not at work, I don't go online except to check my e-mail, and even then, it's only once every few days. The rest of time is spent with my "real life" friends.

And, even when I am at work, I work with about 200 other people, so finding people to talk to isn't exactly tough.

I'll say 35%, but since that isn't and option, I'll go with the 25%... Mainly because I don't really considder AF to be "social" interaction. For me it's a time-waster... Although, in some twisted way, I would considder some of you to be my "friends"...

Well since I don't have a job at the present time(I'm working on it... ),I voted 75. I do go to school, but only 10 hours a week. Don't really connect with the people too well there. I like 'em & all, & the feeling's mutual, it's just...I dunno. Guess they don't undaztand me;)

I'm getting more "personable" this term (which probably explains my lousy grades... :() But anyway, I voted 50% but it's probably more like 60. I use AIM to contact the people that I spend my time with and we use it to make plans all at the same time instead of phone chains and the like.

I got into using AIM to contact people b/c I can talk to 6 and 7 different people at once where as I can only talk to one person on the phone at a time (I don't like 3 way conference calls).

I am at least 50%. That has dropped since stepping down from the Executive body of a car club. I used to live on the pc. I still need to get out more but at least I sit with the guys at the house and watch movies now or cruise with them from time to time.

Well, 4 months on,nothing's changed....:D

This week I turned down a job that would have increased my circle of acquaintances vastly, but too bad,the money wasn't right.Am thinking of suspending my internet connection for a month or two and getting out more, but I don't do the drinking thing any more,so its kind of hard to find a good crowd to join in with.

I spend at least as much time out of the house doing shit with mah friends as I do on AF. Does having casual sx with the hot chick from work count? I don't think I should have had those last three beers....I have a pony.

I have access to a computer at work so I spend WAAAAYYYYYY more time than I should on one. I've become quite cynical and paranoid of people on a social level so I tend to keep to myself; I'm not too keen on making anymore "friends" as I prefer the ones I've had for a while. I enjoy the "company" here at AF because it's actually kind of hard to find people that have any decent conversation whatsoever anymore! Like Taranaki said, I don't drink much anymore either so that eliminated a lot of people. I spend most of my time with my family and the rest goes to modelcars and AF. Maybe I need some:help:

Depends on the day

Nearly every weekday for me is school, then in the afternoon I use the computer, do models watch TV and sometimes I do my homework :D

Fridays, well this is my Friday put in a song: "I love Fridays, 'coz it's time to relax, maybe go do some graf, or just spin some tracks. Or just hang with your crew and drink beers to the max, I love Fridays 'coz Fridays where it's at"

Saturday & Sunday I either wake up at a mates house or I sleep through both days. Might wake up and have no idea how I got there :alien:

I voted 25%. I make a few posts on different boards here n there during the workday. At night/weekends I rarely post because I need to get work and other projects done. I rarely go on AIM anymore because I know if I do I won't get anything done. It has been blocked by the firewall at work, so doing that during the day is not an option anymroe :(

I don't spend as much time on here as what I used to. I remember first becoming a member and I forgot about AF for a couple of months. So I thought I'd check it out and I found myself liking it and posting here and there. So im guessing 35% of the time im online.
