crank pulley removal tool. Ask the local parts store if they have one to rent.

or for a few bucks you can make your own.

basically you just need something to apply an even pressure to force it off...sort of like a steering wheel puller.

Apparently blink you have never removed a crank pulley before. It has a single bolt going through the center.

yeah.. if you have a air gun its easy.. undo the bolt and then you can use a tool.. but i always just used a few screw drivers.. but be carful not to mess up the edges of the pully of you belt will have problems.. but because your asking.. i would sugest taking it somewhere to have it done

ahh, I c

The tool you posted it to hold the crank pully still while you remove the bolt, since turning the bolt turns the crankshaft, so the bolt will turn and not loosen.

Do the old bump the starter method. Ive done it on a few 3s's and a few DSm's as well. Works every time.

exactly! the 'bump start method' is for removing the crank pulley BOLT. foolproof, easy to do. all you need is a breaker bar, or even a 1/2" drive ratchet with a cheater bar will work.

as for removing the pulley from the crankshaft, if it won't slide off easily, take a rubber mallet and beat it a few times, hit the top then bottom, alternating blows. this should knock it loose, then you can wiggle it off.
