Check Engine Light

I'm constantly detailing under my hood. From new parts to dress-up. The other day I was replacing some of the plastic heat-shield on a good portion of the wires. I was maticulous about not damaging any of the wires... Any ways I go to start my 97 up and to stomp on my work the check engine light comes on... Naturaly took it to the parts store for a diagnostic check and it read throtle position sensor and something circuit fault. Logically thinging I must have damaged a circuit somewhere. However he clears the code for me and it hasn't been on sence. I went over all the wires I had done and haven't (yet) found a break nor has the light yet to come on... I've, in the past, had codes cleared and the light comes back once the ecm had done it's check or so, but if theres a problem shouldn't it come back on? Or is it possible I might have tugged on something a little too hard and...idk:screwy:

If the ECM gets a false signal from one of the monitored systems the CEL will come on. You may have pulled too hard or it may have been slightly out of adjustment when the light set. If the light doesn't reapper then you shouldn't have any more issues. Intermittant lights are no big deal. It is the ones that go away and come back on later that are the problem.
