hi!!!
finally I decided to get an air intake :-)
but there is so many out there....
could anyone tell me what`s the difference between 500 dollar "dinan" air intake and any other $50 dollar one???
I noticed that the pipes they come with are made out of fiber glass or steel and they also differ in length.
will you get different horse power gains from different intakes???
how good K&N intake?

With Dinan, your getting a matching warrente that means if it breaks, and it messes up your car, your safe, Dinan will pay. As long as it was their part, they will shoulder the cost.
Honestly, when it comes to intakes, I belive you get what you pay for. If you buy the fifty dollar eBay intake, it may not fit, it could break, it may not be set up properly, etc. etc. etc.
I would recomend buying a specifically manufactured intake. I have a Carbonio on me, it sounds decent and works nice, built like the Dinan one (Carbon Fiber), and a bit cheaper than the Dinan (set me back $250). If you have the extra cash, and want a specific cold air, then get the Dinan if having the added warenty will help you sleep at night.
I'd also recomend the AFE powerflow kit. Its a Short Ram, meaning it stays in the engine bay, but it also has a heat shield to help protect against sucking in the warm air in the engine bay.
When it comes to power, they are all gonna get you about the same amount of power. Without the other air flow modifications (exhaust and header) and some ecu tuning to manage the new airflow, you wont feel much beyond the butt dyno.
It all comes down to how much you have to spend and if you want the security of a warenty or not.
