Door handles NO lock done

I went to junk yard last week and found a 89 4 door got the read door handles off of it for a total of $14.02 with tax. When I pu them in a found the when I open from the inside they move the outside ones. So I pulled the old assembly off the original ones and put it on the keyless ones. The keyless ones door bar to open the door is in the middle and the ones for the keyed ones are on the side. I love it, they look great ty all for the idea AMI, and the rest for the input.

actually the idea came from a kid nick's crx. he just got it. i still haven't seen it in daylight, lol. when everone was here for the car show we were hanging out and he stopped. while everyone was checking out his car i just sat back and chatted with him. it was like midnight so i didn't get a good look. it's all good...i'll catch him one of these days and take some pics. pretty sweet.

Yes, cheap mods are great... If anybody needs some let me know I try to go to the junk yard every week. Im looking for a b18(cause there only 160w/tranny), a hood, and a door before I paint the thing.

that was a great mod....especially when I did it about a year ago.....I loved it.....mainly cause I was going to shave the handles then changed my mind at the last minute.

so how do you get in your car now???

My car has door locks controlled by my alarm.

I did the same thing kinda on my old GTI. instead of shaving the handles I frenched in Audi door handles. Looked sweet. Im thinking about smoothing the 4dr handles in so there is no seams since I already have actuators.

keyless entry. no i am not afraid my alarm pad will die or break. i can always use the key in the hatch. :D

see well slammed hb what color is that? looks like nimbus?? is it b/c im think bout that color...umm well if i do the keyless thing and my alarm dies well i gots a prob b/c i shaved my trunk keyhole...well just spread bondo over it! hey it works. oh well thats what its all for...or something...what all do i need for the door handle swap?

other than keyless entry...all you need is 88-91 4 door rear handles. the 4 door ones have a child safety piece. you remove that and install them. it's one of those you take one out and then just reverse the process and put the new one in.
