I have a 98 EXPLORER V6-245 4.0L SOHC
And the part should be the ABS module.

i got this part number straight from the dealer but i can't seem to find any record of it online. I'm trying to see if i can find the part cheaper. I did check the junkyards but to luck.

Fast Parts Networks shows it (http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=318). Still isn't cheap. If I were you, I'd certainly check out the system really well before replacing the ABS module. You can probably get the ABS codes read by a professional for around $90. That's quite a bit less than the $400.28 for a new OEM replacement.
Also, you can check out the rear axle speed sensor using an oscilloscope (preferred) or a Digital MultiMeter (DMM).

I looked on that site and found it but i can't be sure that this is the part it doesn't have any part number that i can match mine to. Thanks for your help though, i will inquire further about it to confirm the part number.
