97 Contour squeeling noise when put in drive

I have a 97 Ford Contour with the 2.0 and automatic trans. When I put the car in drive for the first time after starting and take off it makes a loud squeeling noise for just a second and then goes away. It does not make this noise again untill you shut the car off and then put it in drive and take off again. Has anybody else had this trouble?
