confused

im confused with my 89 civic hatchback and it doesnt say if it is a Si or Dx or either of the others
How can I find out?
Can I make it to a Si?
How?

if it has a power sunroof and Recaro seats its an SI

you can make it an SI by swapping in the SI INterior, adding the power sunroof, and swapping in the 1.6L SI motor and trans....the SI also came with 14" Steelies as opposed to the DX 13" ones.....there are many more differnces but those are a few.

if im not mistaken the si came with 2 pipes coming out of the muffler instead of 1 and they have body colored mirrors well 90-91 i think anyway.....body colored bumpers, light in the back and all of the stuff slammed said

hey blisk you have an STD (no markings), they came with black bumpers, black center tail light panel, 20 horse power less than the DX. Just So You Know Its Possible To Swap Everything From An SI of The Corresponding year!!! Thats What I Did!! The Only Thing Good With The STD Is Its Far Lighter Than The DX, And The SI!!!!

Don't get a sunroof, they make your chassis less ridgid, and they tend to rust out which is not good.

i have an si and theres no symbol or outline of one where it used to be, i check it out and there was no trace of one, maybe it got removed and painted over, cuz the back of my cars paint looks better than the rest........hmmmmmmm:confused:

There are many DXs with color matched bumpers....

The easiest way 2 find out about ur car is 2 decode the VIN #.
