Random Lock

My 2003 Hyundai Elantra locks itself at random intervals. I never know when it's going to do it. I dread the day I accidently leave my keys in it and get locked out. Does anyone know how to make this stop happening? I contacted a salesman at Ideal in Frederick MD but all I got was got double talk. This is driving me nuts.
