Hello ,
who knows and can tell me what is a Quad driver on a 4T60E , because I can't find a translation here.Is it hydraulic, electric ?
May be a new clue to my transmission breakdown.
Thank you
Paul

What year car, what code? The quad is a component driver in the pcm.

It is a set of power MOSFETs (transistors), part of the ECM, and possibly each can be replaced, but I've not been there. Not sure if they are all same type, but we had been given the number here by Paul Taylor some time ago for the injector driver..I'll find the post and come back.

EDIT: after some more checks, QUADS are in fact four mosfets packed into one DIP package and can be soldered (probable) or plugged into a socket (would be too convenient). Typical specs is they can handle 1.5 Amps. Price is around 3$. NCV7601P
Of course, if they are imbedded into epoxy......:shakehead ....no way..but that looks like an honest printed circuit board with visible components.
..If I questioned that issue, I'd install a few LEDS in series with 1K resistor on each circuit output.....nice Chrismas tree...

You might want to check out some of the recent transmission threads. I know when mine was acting up, one of the codes it gave had quad driver listed as one of the possible causes. It turned out to be bad connections in the solenoid wiring harness.

Hi
what kind of harness problem did you have, cut wires , short circuit and where
Thank you

The connectors would not get tight no matter what. Just poor design.
