It's finally time. My maxima has about 148K on it with the origianl struts and springs still on it. I want to upgrade but I want some feedback on what some other people have done. I dont want to go all out tunner on it. It is my daily driver, but it is also my project car, and my wife drives it too. I dont want a stiff suspention but I do want it to handle well. I would like it if it still had a smooth ride. Where I live there are a lot of bumps. Should I replace my springs and struts or just the struts?
What do you have and how does it ride?

Your swing must be swayin in th mornin breeze. Any change will tighten the heroic sailin rescue maneuvres needed and easen the terror its flight poses on fellow hwy citizens...
Pls do swap shocks every 60k, keep u tires speedin on the ground: sailing changes to steering =becomes possible, brakin adventures become shortened as wheels keep less time airborne.
For daily drive spring swap is normally not necessary (depends), std shocks will be a shockin experience:)

So any good brand names to go with that or are you trying to say order OEM struts. I was looking at the GR-2 From KYB.

Those KYB shocks I've used on other vehicles were ok in daily use. Now in my maxima is (the only possible choice) spanish LIP which is barely ok.
Here in EU theres a iron tight cartel on shocks; choices are 4x500$ stealership shockings plus work -or- this LIP 250$ all four. All other mfg's refuse to sell over national borders. (long live? national socialism...)
