1977 Plymouth sport Fury mod HELP

Hi all
I've got an 77 sport Fury, everything is stock on it. It has 318 2bbl. I've seen this website talks more about furys than other sites. So my question was whats the best and cheapest mod i can do to make it more stronger. I wanted to put the dual exhaust with headers. but thats about $1600. Is there anything else i can do to it. I know you can do alot with 318's but whats your suggestions. Thanks
