Howdy yall. I didnt knoe where to post this so ill just post it here. Names chris and i love muscle cars, specifically Mopars, chevy and pontiac. Theres nice cars in all makes. I got a 1979 Z28 project that im trying to figure out how ima build it. Im thinkin of a 383 stroker with a 6-71 blower. Other ideas are taken into consideration. Some of tha other ideas ive had is 396 stroker sbc, 383 wit nitrous, 396-454 Big Block and then theres a 400 (destroked to a 377 or stroked up.) Yall got any ideas? Share em.

Welcome!
You'll find the 383 to be the better combo for anything that you want to go around corners. The big block can make more reliable power. The nose weight drastically increases when you go to BBC.
The 377 is an excellent drag race engine, as it can rev to the MOON! Due to the lack of cooling in the 400 block, you may have cooling issues with a streeter. Use an aftermarket block like "Little M" and that would no longer be a problem.
You need to decide exactly what you want the car to do, then design an engine package that will make it happen.
