Crazy stuff... I saw this on rx7forums.com earlier tonight...
I think that is the craziest acceleration I have ever seen on a video...

btw, I dunno if this is old, so don't get all pissy if it is :)

Yea, it looks like he doesn't even gas it until 50-55mph :p
What a nutty bike :) Bet it lost most of its cornering abilities tho *shrugs*

It is a turbo hayabusa, however it is not going 220mph. The gearing was changing on the bike, and the bike doesnt have the little yellow box for speedo correction.
just though I would be a buzz kill.

So how fast is it really going then?

well i personally dont think its doing 220
cause look at the road when he decelerates to 100. i do a hundred on my bike regularly and the road moves much faster than that... i think he just upped the gearing for faster accleration... thus the speedo is off.
thats my .02 cents... i could be totally wrong. either way the guy was flying!!

yea, thats what I thought. the lines weren't moving NEARLY as fast as they should be.
But if he's not...
After he gets up to 220 then starts to let off he's down to 110 and that feel slow as hell. LOL, you KNOW you're going ffast when 110 feels slow.

Well, the bike is insanely fast, he was going about 175ish I think is what we calculated. He is running a MCXpress turbo kit for the busa pushing about 250rwhp at the low setting. I have talked to this guy, and a group of other riders he hangs out with, and alot of them have turbo busas.
BTW, the lines on a motorcycle cam are always destorted when it is behind the windshield, many times it makes it look slower because of the convex.

Doesn't a stock Hayabusa top out at 190 something? I have heard 197 is where it stops...
So he spends all that money on the bike, then more on a turbo kit, and even more on new gears, and if he raced a stock bike, eventually the stock bike would catch up and pass him? Wierd stuff...
I'm probably wrong, but anyways...

No you are right, he changed the sprockets for faster acceleration, as if he needed it. There is another video out there somewhere of the same bike with a taller gearing going a calculated 237mph.

Heh cool... I wonder what he ran in the 1/4 with the acceleration gearing...
