Working on a 2002 cavalier. In park and reverse the a/c works great blows cold charge is great compressor runs fine but as soon as you put it in drive it seem like the idel is not bumping up to compensate for the a/c, the pressure drops compressor kicks out idels back up and the compressor kicks back on and starts the chain again. so my guess is that their must be a senor somewhere not letting it know it in is drive. any input is greatly appericated

dude the compressor supposed to cycle on and off but not very often. depending on the way the engineers set it up the compressor should stay on for about a minute or two then shut off or can just stay on. On my 2001 cavy the compressor stays on all the time (so i think i am in my car not outside of it) any who... if it is turning on and off frequently, you may need to just recharge the system. and for the fact that the engine idles low, its a cavalier my car does the same thing. fuck it....someday i will buy a bmw.
