Vaccum Hose Distributer -- Broken

:banghead: Alright I was installing a new Y-Pipe today, and went to replace the piece of vacuum hose that exits that y-pipe to the vacuum hose distributer ( looks like a plastic H) and I ended up cracking the plastic distributer... So my question is either where can I get a new distributer, or is there a way to bypass the H connection (either with vacuum hose or some new type metal connector)?

Yes, a 92 VR-4, forget to mention that. Anyway I just broke the little plastic H piece, so can it be replaced/what can I do about it?

just do the vacuum reduction mod, i can't remember if there's a write up on this site or not. If not I can find you one from 3SI, and I can also give you the "short" version as well.

Alright, that sounds like a good idea... let me see if I can find that guide..

Ok I've looked around a bit, and have a general idea of what needs to be done. I should note that I have a MBC on the way and will probably do all the hoses along with that, but until then I should clarify that H-Connecter is intact aside from the inlet which took the hose coming from the Y-Pipe (I basically broke off the nipple when I tried disconnecting that hose). Anyway I noticed that some guides inadvertently had this hose removed and rerouted, while capping the H-Connecter there... I was thinking I could just seal off the rest of the broken nipple with some adhesive while re-routing the rest as follows...
Here is a copy from someone else's post on 3si that basically outlines what is done:
"DJ, I'm sure that there are and will be plenty of members that appreciate what you have done here. Wish you would have done it when I was installing my mbc. It took me a while to search it and of course I found a bunch of different ways to do it. Finally found a simple post as follows; 1. y pipe hose to inlet mbc. 2.bottom hose off solenoid and cap. This hose to mbc outlet. 3. cap connection on H connector where hose from y pipe usually connects. Just what you have said. "
Do you think that a set-up like this would work out ok? As it would be easier than replacing all the exisiting piping... at least for now... though I probably will do that soon eventually.. I was just thinking so that I could get her back up and running ASAP.

I'd have to double check to make sure, because it's been awhile. But I think that's how I have mine set up right now. I've been running it for awhile with no ill effects. The DJAuggie method.
I would suggest doing the vacuum reduction though, as you can get away with it without throwing a check engine light...and you can eliminate alot of boost/vacuum leaks this way.
