Supercharged?

Is there a Supercharger available for the 06 Spec V? I forgot the engine code... Q25RDE or something. I'd like some boost but don't want to put a turbo in because it looks just so much more complicated. I know I drove my friend's supercharged Miata and killed some local ricers.

A supercharger would be harder to put on the SE-R since there are no common supercharger kits. Turbocharging it will be easier, more powerful, and more efficient.

revolution auto works makes a sc kit but its just as expensive as a turbo kit and a vq swap and produces less power than either of the other two, basicly the only reason to put a FI mod that makes instant power into a fwd car would be, oh wait there isnt one

superchargers suck. and they arent less complicated than turbos. just suckier. plus you wont know what to do with all that low end torque. if you get a centrifugal supercharger, the qr's redline is too low to even take advantage of it. turbo is the only way with this car.

or you could build it for a 200 shot of nitrous, spend that 3500 on pistons rings rods bearings plugs machine work ect, then you could safely run a huge shot of gas and still be reliable, probably be just as good if not better than even a turbo

nitrous is never better than a turbo

if you build the motor to run on gas it can wax a turbo setup and you have more control, either way its another option and probably cheaper than a tarby kit, plus with built internals you have the option to add a turbo at a later date and still spray some

Please, never say "Tarby kit" again.

I don't like nitrous. I like the idea of always having the power at hand and not having to press a button or refill a tank. I'm still 110% for the VQ over either of them, any day.

for sure. nitrous is overrated. even if you get an ecu tune to shoot the nitrous only at full throttle and only over say 4000rpm, you still have to refill the bottle. plus turbos nowdays are good enough that you can find a turbo to give almost no lag for any motor, and still get plenty of power all the way to redline.

its another option, but you can run a WOT swith, coupled with a RPM window switch and a interrupt signal from the knock sensor and be PERFECTLY safe.......you could even install micro switches in 4th-6th gear to keep you from spraying in a high gear all of that stuff can be had for way less than a turbo kit can be purchased and shipped for plus engine parts

wtf? can i get some of what your smoking? i thought this thread was about superchargers on sentras. no one gives a fuck about your truck thingy. i dont get it. you would have to actually TRY to be this dumb. did he not see dodge truck side of the forum and thought the sentra was the next closest vehicle? or maybe he thought "supercharged sentras? well, my dash problem is basically the same thing. ill post here"
and somehow he already figured it out. ill give you teh 'most improved' award, yknow for 'effort'.
