F/S: Garret 50-trim $100+s/h

Yeah, that's right... I'm in a serious $$$ bind. I've gotta sell the 50-trim. I bought this off of e-bay and had intentions of installing it on the Talon. Then the Talon grenaded the transmission. I ended up replacing half the damn car, now I'm out of cash.

What I have for sale is:

Used(previously rebuilt by Garrett) T3(IIRC) Garrett 50-trim
.42 A/R intake side (IIRC)
.63 A/R exhaust side
Oil-cooled only


I can take pics and get more dimensions when I get home if you want. PM me for more pics/info. I have removed the housings and the turbo fins are fine. There is only a minute amount of side-side shaft play, but that should tighten up with oil pressure. There is no in/out shaft play.

I live in NC. I will ship it via UPS (what we have here at the warehouse). I'll give you a tracking number, and charge you only shipping charges. If I can just get $100 out of this, I'll be happy (not really, but you know)

is it dsm flanged for downpipe? or standard garrett?

If it's DSM flanged you have a buyer for more then you are asking.... Will take care of you.

If it's not would it just take a modified downpipe to mount this? It should bolt right to my existing header correct?

Sadly, it is not flanged for a DSM. You would need someone to make you a T3 to DSM flange to bolt it to your manifold (unless you buy an aftermarket T3 exhaust manifold). It also has a 4-bolt exhaust flange. I'll see if I can find pics of an identical one. I can have pics of mine when I get home (they'll be crappy, someone stole my digital cam, all I have is cell).

Someone should be able to make a downpipe or flange for you pretty cheap though.

This turbo is similar though, but mine has a nipple on the intake side for the external gate

researching what other work would have to be done to my setup to make this work...

I also don't have really any engine mods. Just changes to the fuel system so I'm not sure I can support this... Will let you know later tonight.

If this thing don't sell before next Monday, I probably won't sell it. I should have my car running by then, and will be inspired to keep it and install it...

Until then (and because I'm extremely short on cash), it is still for sale.

Sorry to not get back to you. I did more research into what I'd need to support that turbo and I'm not really in the market to change everything literally less then a month after i installed it. I didn't think it would be that much, well I hoped it wouldn't anyway.

I said after Monday, I probably wasn't going to sell it(I really thought my car would be driving around by now).
Well, let me give you a short update on my car and where I'm sitting right now. I just put my car back together (completely new drivetrain). The transmission self destructed before leaving the driveway. I'm trading the rims for another Talon (AWD) and getting another 50-trim. I plan on building (between the two cars) one helluva car. The new 50-trim I'm getting was just rebuilt and is also water-cooled, though I don't think it has an exhaust housing. I think I'll be taking the housing off of this turbo, and putting on the other one. At this point, I have neither car at my house (one at mom's, one at shop). Let me get the cars back to my house and see where I'm going with this. I will give you first dibs on the turbo though. I might sell it at a discounted rate, without the exhaust housing. I'll let you know what's going on after I get a chance to figure all of this out.
