Help painting those tricky edges

I'm building my very first RC car and just yesterday started painting it. I applie a few mist coats and let it sit and dry. Later that night I applied a few more and the color (Tamiya white) started to cover up the body little by little. However, I've noticed areas that arent getting painted. Areas such as corners on the front and back bumper, folds (i guess i can call it that) around the front bumper around where the radiator decal would be, or behind the car around where he exhaust decal would be are some folds molded on the body. Those sorts of areas that arent flat dont pick up as much paint and are left looking lighter. How can I paint those areas? By the way, im using spray can paint. I was told in the past that those areas could be painted by brush but is there RC plastic type of paint available in jars? If they are available and I was to attempt to paint those areas, wouldnt the body look odd if i spray paint it and there are areas that were applied with brush strocks?

Any help that can be offered would be greatly appreciated and I thank those who took time to read my thread

When i get into those parts i always get the can as close to the body as I can and spray it kind of heavy, it usually flows into the areas that need it well.. you can try, don't know if it will work in your case though. You can try decanting some paint and using a brush, that would work also.

I did just that. I held the can closer to the body and applied a few quick coats to avoid a lot of paint gathering and running. So far so good but the paint is still lighter in those areas. Not too much paint built up. I'm planning on doing it again with light coats. Pre98..., just curious, have you had problems doing it this way? I know first hand that trying this method with plastic models would have a higher risk of paint running.

I had to use this method on my RS4 body when I painted it and it turned out just fine, no runs/bubbles or anything.. Your best bet it to layer that paint up, nice and thick (I did about 10 layer) and then backed it with silver, and then Flat Black.. with white you might want to not back it at all. It's totally up to you.
