Need help! I want to install Eibach pro kit springs on my 1998 Eclipse. I want to install 17" wheels with tire 215/45/R17, my question is... would the tire rub the fender or the quarter panel? I am more concern on the rear because i have big heavy sub box. Anybody have this same set up?

How much are you planning on lowering it? It should be fine with anything less than 3 inches...

You should be fine. The prokit only lowers it like 1.6" or something like that. Dont forget about getting a camber kit in the rear at least.

No it won't rub, and I can almost gurantee you that if you measured it, that sub box doesn't drag the ass even 1/4".

Thank 4 the help, I will see how it fits all together. I also notice that my sub raises the car about 1/2" when i pick it up.
A friend of mine has the same set up on a GS but with stock rims and there is a small gap between the quarter panel and the tire. I don't know if my new rims need to have the same wheel offset. I will see how mine turns out.

I have a set of 18" Enkeis wit a 2" drop and I don't rub anywhere. So you should be just fine with 17" rims and a 1.6" drop.
