1989 S10 Fuel Problem

My S10 4 cyl wont start unless I spray starting fluid in carb.Once it starts it runs fine. But if you turn off you have to put more starting fluid.in to get going. I changed the fuel filter. Not Helping. Any help Please

I had the same problem on my 87 s-10.My is a 4 too,check to see if you can hear the fuel pump work if not it is the fuel pump.the other thing that it could be is that your carburator is dirty my was I took my carburator of an clean it,the acid can be purchase at your local autoparts
