Squeaking

There is a squeaking noise coming from right rear of my car. The noise is proportional to the speed of the vehicle. Sometimes the noise occurs when the car is standing still and is pushed down. Vehicle is 99' Intrigue 3.8.
Any help will be appreciated.

jack this car up for the rear. Spin both rear tires (one at a time) and find out if this is a brake problem or maybe even a bearing problem.
-most likely it is a brake pad/rotor issue. Parking brakes? The stock pads do a good job and squeek little, but the new ceramic pads will make noise. When braking pads get down to nothing they are made to make noise also.
-but since you say you get noise from pushing down on it -it may be a bearing issue. Have not seen bearings replaced on the rear of the Intrigue yet. =should be a brake issue.

Ceramic pads shouldnt be making noise, thats one of the major selling points of them.

And from a comfort standpoint, ceramic compounds provide much quieter braking because the ceramic compound helps dampen noise by generating a frequency beyond the human hearing range.
-Either I have really good hearing or my rotors are warped in the front. My Napa Ceramics make noise. Awesome braking, but they are noisy when not on the brake.
